Experience
I have maintained a private practice for children, adolescents, young adults and adults in Cambridge for over 15 years. My practice currently focuses on young adults & adults, individuals & couples. My areas of expertise include the transition to adulthood, parenting, divorce & stepfamilies, trauma, and sexuality & intimacy. In addition to my private practice, I have worked in community mental health centers and psychiatric hospitals. I served as Clinical Director, Director of Training and Director of the WrapAround program for the Children’s Community Support Collaborative, a program of the Home for Little Wanderers funded by the Metro-Boston Department of Mental Health. At CCSC, I developed and directed the clinical training program and supervised and trained psychotherapists in clinical work with children and families. My focus at CCSC was to help multi-stressed families find productive ways to deal with family conflict, stepfamily concerns, trauma-related problems and major life transitions.
In addition, I founded and direct the Time Trade Circle, an organization that helps individuals connect to create meaningful community and I serve on the board of Our Spirit, a web-based program that spreads positive messages of self-acceptance for LGBTQ youth.
